Madden Girl x Ezi
If you checked the label on the shoes in my closet, chances are more than half of them are Steve Madden. Their brand has always been the exact combination of edgy and feminine that I look for and their newest Madden Girl collection continues the tradition!
What’s unique about this new line is that it’s in collaboration with up and coming pop artist Ezi, who is signed to Steve Madden’s official music label. How cool is that? I love the idea of fashion and music coming together, as so much of being an artist is cultivating a style, and so much of fashion is shaped by music and the artists that create it.

I was given the opportunity to try out a new pair of shoes from the line, which you can see in all the pictures on this post.
The shoes I got are called Aaden, and the faux snakeskin pattern is to die for. The entire line is a mix of booties, heels, sandals, and sneakers, in bold neutrals and animal patterns

It was super fun coming up with the concept. Basically I wanted to convey that feeling of getting dressed up way too early for a night out with your girls, and now you’re left scrolling through your phone, trying not to stalk somebody you’ve recently decided to moved on from.
I definitely drew from Vogue’s “getting ready” videos and that Lancome video from a while back of Kendall Jenner and another model getting dressed up in a hotel room. I'm still getting used to how to use video as an art form, so this was the perfect opportunity to try out new concepts!
